Uhuru Kenyatta awatumia waislam wa Kenya salamu

From Uhuru Kenyatta President of my country Kenya.

I am pleased to send this message of greetings and goodwill to all our  Muslim brothers and sisters as they prepare to observe the Holy Month of Ramadhan.

Ramadhan is a special period in the Islamic faith as it is a time of
sacrifice and purification when Muslims across the world renew their  commitment to obey and serve God.
In solidarity with our Muslim brothers and sisters, therefore, I wish to urge all Kenyans to reflect on the quality of their relationship with God and be compassionate to the needy.

As I wish the Muslim community God’s blessings and protection, I urge them to extend their traditional hand of help to the needy members of our  society.

As we usher in the Holy Month of Ramadhan during this Jubilee year of our independence, I appeal to our Muslim brothers and sisters and Kenyans at large, to offer special prayers for our country and our young  Jubilee Government to overcome all
challenges ahead.
Let us all unite as Kenyans, transcend ethnic and religious boundaries, in our endeavor to make this the year of the rebirth of
our beloved nation.

Finally, may Allah’s blessings shine upon you all during this Holy month.

Ramadhan Kareem and Saum Maqbul.
